International Short Film Festival

Terms & Conditions governing participation, programmes, awards and festival activities.

These Terms & Conditions apply to participants, delegates, filmmakers, artists, sponsors, partners, audiences and other stakeholders participating in activities organised under RCR BIOSCOPES and the International Short Film Festival.

Participants are requested to carefully read and understand these terms before registering or participating in the Festival.

Please read the following terms carefully before participating in the Festival.

Awards & Recognition

Awards, Prizes and Recognition

The Awards, Prizes and other forms of recognition announced for the Festival may be revised, enhanced or restructured based on the overall level of participation and registrations received from Short Film Makers, Audiences, Sponsors, Film Industry stakeholders, Institutional/Kinds Sponsors, Venue Sponsors and other participating partners.

The final Awards and Prize structure applicable to the Festival shall be communicated by the Organiser.

Festival Duration

Festival Duration and Participant Responsibility

The Festival may be conducted for a minimum duration of one (1) day and up to a maximum duration of two (2) days at a particular venue.

Depending upon the scale, number of registrations, participating cities, programmes and associated activities, the overall Festival initiatives may extend for a period of up to fifteen (15) days.

All participants, delegates, artists, filmmakers, sponsors, partners and other stakeholders are expected to cooperate with the Organising Committee and comply with the prescribed guidelines and instructions to ensure the successful and orderly conduct of the Festival.

Purpose

Purpose and Nature of the Festival

The Festival is designed as a professional platform for networking, interaction, exchange of ideas, group discussions, cultural engagement, industry learning and ecosystem development.

It aims to bring together filmmakers, film-technology professionals, artists, actors, actresses, technicians, educators, entrepreneurs, audiences and other creative-industry stakeholders to encourage collaboration, innovation and knowledge sharing.

Global Platform

Global, Multilingual and Industry-Focused Platform

RCR BIOSCOPES may organise Multilingual, National, Regional and International Short Film Festivals and related programmes at various locations in India and internationally, subject to applicable laws, permissions and operational feasibility.

The Festival is intended to bring together like-minded individuals and organisations from the fields of Entertainment, Entrepreneurship, Education, Artificial Intelligence, Film Technology, Research & Development and related creative industries.

Activities may include Seminars, Workshops, Industry Interactions, Technology Exchanges, AI Film-Making Programmes, Knowledge Sessions and other professional and cultural initiatives.

The Festival is intended to create opportunities and industry engagement beyond Awards and Prizes.

Legal Compliance

Compliance with Applicable Laws

RCR BIOSCOPES, its participating community, partners, sponsors, exhibitors, artists, filmmakers, delegates and other stakeholders shall comply with all applicable Central and State laws, rules, regulations, statutory requirements, permissions and guidelines relevant to their respective participation and activities.

Venue

Venue and Festival Location

The final venue and location of the Festival shall be determined by the Organising Committee after the applicable registration deadline, taking into consideration the number of registrations, programme requirements, operational feasibility, venue availability and other relevant factors.

The Organiser reserves the right to determine and announce the venue and Festival location.

The proposed launch city may be announced in advance for information and promotional purposes, subject to final confirmation.

Jury & Awards

Jury Decision and Awards

The decisions of the duly constituted Jury and/or authorised Award Selection Committee in relation to film evaluation, nominations, Awards, Prizes and other recognitions shall be considered final, subject to the applicable Festival rules and governing laws.

The Organiser shall not be responsible for any dispute arising from the independent assessment or professional judgment of the Jury.

Audience Participation

Audience Participation and Special Awards

The Festival may provide opportunities for registered audience members or an authorised Audience Panel to participate in designated audience-based evaluations or voting activities.

Such participation may result in separate Audience Choice Awards, Special Recognition Awards or other audience-related prizes, as determined by the Organising Committee.

Audience evaluation shall be independent of the official Jury evaluation unless specifically stated otherwise.

Please Read Before Participation

Participation in the Festival constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and the applicable Festival guidelines.

RCR BIOSCOPES reserves the right to modify, update or clarify these Terms & Conditions where necessary for the effective and lawful conduct of the Festival.

Any significant updates may be communicated through the Festival's official communication channels.
